Title: Samara’s Peril

Author: Jaye L. Knight
Series: The Ilyon Chronicles
Genre: Fantasy
Audience: Young Adults

My Review
My Rating: Five Stars!
My first thoughts when I opened up my ARC copy of Samara’s Peril (Well, other than my fangirling, and unintelligible squeaks) were, to double up on the bubble wrap. And, where did my chocolate go? I was wise to consider these things, because my emotions were not, in any way, ready for this book. Jaye can be brutal, but, oh my goodness, it was amazing!
Okay, before we get started, can we just gaze at that cover. *happy sighs* I fell in love with it since the moment I seen it. The cave drakes, the wall…. I just love it! I just can’t wait to give it a photoshoot.
From the minute I opened (scrolled, technically) to the first page, I wasn’t even thinking coherently. I love Jaye L. Knight’s writing style.  Jaye L. Knight has a lot of talent for writing.
As for the characters….. Oh my goodness, Jace! I loved him more in this book than any of the others. He was simply amazing. The first few chapters, I admit, I was a bit annoyed with him. I just wanted to shake him, and scream in his face “You’re loved, Jace!” But then everything changed…. *grins knowingly* And Kyrin is such a cool character. I just want to give her a hug. She is so awesome. All the characters in these book, I’m in love with. They are just so amazing!
I was also really happy we got to explore more of Ilyon in this book. We got to go to different places, and meet different people. Ilyon is definitely one of my favorite fictional countries. I love the woods, and I love their cities, and castles, and… EVERYTHING. It’s just so amazing. This book is probably my favorite in the whole series.
Problems? There weren’t any major problems for me. This book was all I was expecting, and more. The only thing is, I would have liked to see a bit more of what was happening in Arcacaia. I am really nervous about that arena being built, and I was a bit sad I didn’t get any information on how the building process was going. (Hopefully someone destroys it. That would be nice. Then we wouldn’t have to worry about anyone having to fight there. Like Jace.)
People. If you have not read this series yet, you need to. It’s an amazing Christian, YA, non-magical fantasy, and you will not regret buying it!
As you can probably figure, I would recommend this for anyone looking for a good read. Whether you like fantasy, or not, I’m sure you’d love this book. Also, there’s dragons. So, that’s a plus. ;D As for age group, probably thirteen and a half \ fourteen and up.

Nice review! ^_^ I'm in the middle of this book right now, and although it has a very different feel than the other ones, I'm loving it! :D Jaye is just a master of words and I CAN'T EVEN. Just... how did she get so much talent?

Jace, Kyrin, Kaden, ahhh! *gives them all a hug* And Rachel too! :) I loved the part where the little girl said Jace's eyes were pretty. <3
